Corporate Social Responsibility

Tatweer is committed to contributing to the economic and social prosperity of the Kingdom of Bahrain.

As a concerned and responsible corporate citizen, Tatweer Petroleum is committed to contributing to the economic and social prosperity of the Kingdom of Bahrain and to acting as a good neighbor in the local communities where is operates. To honor this commitment, Tatweer continues to implement its comprehensive corporate social responsibility (CSR) program.

One key initiative for Tatweer Petroleum is the Toy Drive campaign, which provides the employees and the company the opportunity to give back to the community. The campaign involves Tatweer employees, who donate and volunteer to distribute toys to children from various societies in Bahrain. The campaign, which started in 2011, has included donations to societies such as the Hope Institute, the Down Syndrome Society and the Batelco Child Care Center amongst many others over the years.

Tatweer also strives to be a good corporate partner by actively participating in key Oil and Gas Industry events which occur annually in Bahrain. In addition, part of the company’s directives is to take part in technical workshops and forums, which bring like-minded attendees together to explore new technologies, business opportunities and partnerships, such as the Middle East Oil and Gas Show (MEOS), the Middle East Heavy Oil Congress and the Middle East Geosciences Conference (GEO). The Company encourages its employees to participate in such conferences through an exhibition stand that showcases the company’s production techniques and its contribution to Bahrain’s economy, as well as through various paper submissions and other conference involvement. In 2015, Tatweer Petroleum employees delivered over 15 presentations in various events.
