Tatweer is committed to contributing to the economic and social prosperity of the Kingdom of Bahrain.

As a concerned and responsible corporate citizen, Tatweer Petroleum is committed to contributing to the economic and social prosperity of the Kingdom of Bahrain and to acting as a good neighbor in the local communities where it operates. To honor this commitment, Tatweer continues to implement its corporate social responsibility (CSR) program.

2017 saw the continuation of Tatweer’s CSR programs including the Movie Time campaign and the Toy Drive. For the Movie Time campaign, employees volunteer their time to organize for a group of children from societies in Bahrain to enjoy a movie at the cinema and has included trips for children from centers such as Alia for Early Intervention, Al Rahma Center and Al Fajer Quran Society. The Toy Drive campaign, which was launched in 2011, also involves Tatweer employees who volunteer to distribute toys to children and has included donations to Salmaniya Medical Complex and societies such as the Hope Institute, the Down Syndrome Society and the Batelco Child Care Center amongst many others.

Tatweer Petroleum also continues to sponsor its employees in various sporting activities including football, bowling, basketball and a team that participated in the Bahrain Ironman Triathlon. Additionally, the Company annually participates with a marathon team in the Bahrain Marathon Relay, for which all proceeds go to charity.

The Company strives to be a good corporate partner by actively participating in key Oil and Gas Industry events which occur annually in the Kingdom of Bahrain. In addition, part of the Tatweer Petroleum’s directives is to take part in technical workshops and forums, which bring like-minded attendees together to explore new technologies, business opportunities and partnerships, such as the Middle East Oil and Gas Exhibition (MEOS), the Middle East Heavy Oil Congress (MEHOC) and the Middle East Geosciences Conference (GEO). The Company encourages its employees to participate in such conferences through various means including knowledge contributions through presentations, poster sessions, panel memberships and chairing, and committee memberships. Additionally, as the company responsible for upstream operations in the Kingdom, Tatweer Petroleum continues to support the Bahrain Chapter of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE).
