Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Board Secretary of Tatweer Petroleum
AlMoayyed received his BSc in Geology from Cairo University in 1973, and a BS in Petroleum Engineering with honor from the University of Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1977.
Prior to his current post AlMoayyed was deputy chief executive for exploration and production in Bapco. His long career spans for more than 35 years having joined the Bapco training program in 1973 and later went on a scholarship to study petroleum engineering in the US.
Work assignments included Chevron in Denver, Colorado and Wyoming from 1979 to 1980 where he worked in various areas of production engineering, drilling and reservoir engineering in the central region of the US.
AlMoayyed joined Bapco’s marketing department in 1983 which he was entrusted with direct responsibilities for establishing all marketing functions under one business unit in addition to executing corporate marketing policies and operations in both domestic and global export markets.
Bapco’s increasing control over marketing for the refinery’s output widened his marketing responsibilities over time to cover the planning and execution of export sales of the Bahrain’s share of Abu Safah crude oil production, aviation sales and development of the lube base oil project in the Bahrain refinery.
