THE MOST PROMINENT EVENT DURING
THE YEAR 2022 IN THE FIELD OF EXPLORATION OPERATIONS WAS THE ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE DISCOVERY OF TWO (2) NEW NATURAL GAS RESERVOIRS IN EACH OF THE UNCONVENTIONAL “JUBAH” AND “JAUF” LAYERS.
performance related incentives within the tireless and continuous efforts throughout the year to enhance the advantages and benefits granted to employees by the Company to recognize the distinguished achievements of its employees and appreciate their sincere efforts in supporting the Company’s growth and achievement of its desired objectives.
In 2022, Tatweer Petroleum marked the occasion of Labor Day in appreciation of the tireless and sincere efforts made by the Company’s employees throughout the year. In addition, the Company continued its unremitting efforts to support programs and initiatives to develop and certify promising national cadres in recognition of their vital contribution in various sectors of the Kingdom, especially the energy sector, and in conjunction with the fruitful National development and growth initiatives led by our country’s wise Leadership. Additionally, Tatweer Petroleum celebrated the occasion of Women’s Day and launched a number of programs to honor and appreciate the tangible contributions of Bahraini women in serving the Company and the Kingdom, in recognition of their venerable role in supporting sustainable development efforts in accordance with our wise Leadership’s visions and directives. In the spirit of the Company’s role in fostering institutional strategy and community partnership, Tatweer Petroleum, in cooperation with its Trade Union, held a ceremony honoring a number of outstanding students from among the children of Company employees in recognition of the achievements of young national cadres and encouraging them to continue to succeed in their academic endeavors.
Further, Tatweer Petroleum continued its commitment to the development of its employees in the field of training and continuous professional development, organizing several training programs and attending numerous international conferences with the aim of enhancing the invaluable skills of its workers, with over 90,000 training man-hours delivered especially in the fields of petroleum engineering, geology, process engineering, artificial intelligence, digital technology, sustainable development, and corporate governance. Additionally,
the Company launched national programs and initiatives aimed at supporting sustainable development efforts and achieving the ambitious 2030 Economic Vision of the Kingdom of Bahrain, in particular the launch of the Bahrain Field Afforestation Project, operation of a solar power plant with a capacity of 3 megawatts, and water treatment plants to purify water associated with oil production for re-use in agriculture applications.
In conclusion, on behalf of the Board of Directors, I wish to express my sincere gratitude and appreciation for the generous and invaluable support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and His Royal Highness Crown Prince, Prime Minister, and Deputy Supreme Commander, Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, as well as the leadership of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Majesty the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the Board of the Oil and Gas Holding Company (nogaholding) in furtherance of Tatweer Petroleum’s progress in sustainable development efforts and the advancement of the energy sector in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Lastly, I extend my personal appreciation and warmest regards to the Management, all employees and the Trade Union of Tatweer Petroleum for their dedication, enthusiasm and hard work during the year in support of the Company and achieving the desired advancements of the Kingdom.
