THE OIL AND GAS INDUSTRY HAVE INCREASED ITS INVOLVEMENT TO SUPPORT THE DE- CARBONIZATION OF THE ENERGY SYSTEM, IN LINE WITH THE CROWN PRINCE AND PRIME MINISTER’S COMMITMENT AT THE COP26 TO REACH NET ZERO BY 2060
Industrial Hygiene (IH)
Industrial Hygiene survey was conducted on all field water tanks, potable water tanks and water coolers. One hundred ten (110) water tanks were cleaned and sanitized.
NORM program was established and one hundred and eighty-three (183) employees were trained.
Risk and Process Safety
 Management of Change (MOC) - A total of one hundred and five (105) MOCs were conducted in 2022 for the purpose of assessing all proposed modifications to any facility within the Bahrain Field, with the aim of mitigating risks on people, assets, and the environment.
 Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) - A total of ten (10) PHAs were conducted in 2022 to evaluate risks associated with a design in a detailed and methodological approach, in order to identify hazards as well as analyze, evaluate, and treat recognized risks to improve design and operability.
Emergency Preparedness and Response
In 2022, the Emergency Response (ER) team accomplished several achievements with the support and cooperation of Company employees. Some of the achievements included the following:
 Increased the number of trained Fire Wardens for building evacuation as per Company Emergency Management procedures.
 Conducted on-going Emergency Management Team (EMT) training for Company EMT members.
 Developed site specific emergency response plan for GDN Operation to enhance the response effectiveness and provide in depth credible scenario and action plan.
 Conducted practical firefighting training for the Field Response Team (FRT) under the command of an On-Scene Commander (OSC) in the event of emergency.
 Conducted fifteen (15) emergency drills with activation of different levels including level 1 and 2 response team.
