TATWEER PETROLEUM IS ADOPTING THE INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION FOR OIL & GAS PROCEDURES (IOGP) HSE KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPIS) STANDARD. THESE STANDARDS ALIGN THE COMPANY WITH A GLOBALLY RECOGNIZED SET OF BEST PRACTICES AND ALSO FACILITATE BENCHMARKING AND COMPARISON.
Health, Safety, and Environmental Management System (HSEMS)
In 2022, the main aim was to provide a framework to identify and eliminate any gaps that exist within the current HSE system and processes. Focus went into ongoing process improvements and system enhancements:
Successfully completed ISO45001:2018 audit cycle. Work is in progress to award a certification body with the contract for the new audit cycle for 2023.
Analyzed Company KPIs to ensure data accuracy and that meaningful insights are being communicated efficiently to measure results.
Continued enforcing Company In-vehicle monitoring system (IVMS) and the extension of this requirement to all Tatweer Petroleum contractors.
Conducted the Annual HSE Management Review Meeting, in line with ISO 45001:2018 requirements. The meeting reviewed the effectiveness of the current HSEMS with the Management.
HSE Compliance Management
Upon the relief of the COVID-19 restrictions in 2022, full audits were conducted on Drilling and Workover, Field Operations, Field Maintenance, Facilities Engineering and Construction (FEC) departments and 40% of tier 1 (high risk) contractors without any major non-conformities.
Continuous efforts were placed on managing overdue action items which arose from the audit and the total number of the overdue action items has now been reduced to less than 1%.
Industrial Safety
Field Safety Inspections
The Industrial Safety team managed to conduct more than one thousand five hundred seventy-four (1,574) safety inspections within Tatweer Petroleum facilities and worksites. Highlights included:
Participated in five hundred and eleven (511) contractor management safety walkthroughs.
Managed to process one hundred and thirty-one (131) occupational incidents of which two (2) were identified as high potential.
Successfully completed the Heat Stress Campaign without any heat stress related incident to employees.
Responded and attended to five hundred thirty- two (532) Pre-Startup Safety Review (PSSR) walkthroughs.
Reviewed, processed and approved eleven thousand six hundred fifty-seven (11,657) permits and associated certificate.
Contractor Management:
Contractors Forum was held on 7 December 2022 at the Royal Golf Club. Contractors safety matters and means of collaboration to improve safety performance in the Bahrain Field were discussed. High performing contractors were recognized and awarded for their
